United Way of Schuyler County held their annual pasta dinner on Monday, October 9 at the Montour Moose Club. We served a little over 400 dinners to a packed and enthusiastic crowd.
Deepest thanks begins with Mike Donnelly and the Moose Club. They are a blessing to this community in so many ways. An all volunteer board of directors of United Way of Schuyler County and students from the Interact Clubs of the Watkins Glen and Odessa-Montour schools provided all the grunt work and service that contributed to an outstanding event.
The well known Hoffman Family, who are this year's campaign co-chairs, were a very visible presence selling 50/50 tickets. In addition to those already mentioned the following volunteers offered their time and talents as well: Sally Hill, Vern Vorhees, Andrew Yessman, Cameron and Caitlin Connelly, Dustin and Dalton Cummings, Taylor Kelly, Heidi and Noah Gardner, Sue Larson, Jan Granston, and Wendy Drake.
None of this would have mattered were it not for a community that attends this event every year and supports the efforts of United Way.
A "great" time, with "great" food, and "great" service for a "GREAT" cause. Thank you one and all..........!
