United Way of Schuyler County holds the annual pasta dinner on Monday, October 8, 2018 (Columbus Day) at the Montour Moose Club, Route 14, Montour Falls, beginning at 5:00 pm. The team wants to beat the 400 dinner goal this year to a packed and enthusiastic crowd.
United Way of Schuyler County Executive Director Peggy Scott said, “Deepest thanks begin with Mike Donnelly and the Moose Club. They are a blessing to this community in so many ways. An all volunteer board of directors of United Way of Schuyler County and students from the Interact Clubs of the Watkins Glen and Odessa-Montour schools provide all the grunt work and service that contribute to an outstanding event every year.
Meet 2018 Campaign Leaders Dominick and Stacey Smith, who help raise money toward the $123,000 goal to help 22 local agencies. Menu is Spaghetti and Meatballs with Sheriff Bill Yessman’s special Italian Sauce passed down from generations – salad, rolls, and dessert. Price is a mere $8.00 for Adults, $7.00 for Senior Citizens, and $5.00 for Children under 12. Dinners “To Go” are also available.
Scott said, “None of this matters were it not for a community that attends this event every year and supports the efforts of United Way of Schuyler County. A "great" time, with "great" food, and "great" service for a "GREAT" cause.”
